Registration for the Child Dedication @ HCC on May 10th
Must be submitted by May 5th.
(Recommended for children that are still too young to understand what it means to trust Jesus as their Savior and be baptized)
Select the service time you would like to dedicate your child to the Lord Jesus Christ on May 10th.
We desire:
1. God’s blessing on our child. We believe God’s blessing is the most important thing that can happen in his/her life.
2. To raise our child according to the teachings found in the Bible.
3. To partner with Harrisburg Christian Church to pray for and teach the younger generation to be disciples of Jesus Christ.
We understand that this is not an event that causes our child to receive salvation nor is it infant baptism. It is a special time to dedicate our child to the Lord and ask God’s blessing on our child, on us as parents, and on our family’s relationship with this church.
Parents: If you choose to participate, you will come forward during the worship service with your child. You will be asked a series of questions and then we will pray for you and your child. The questions are as follows:
1. Do you desire to dedicate your child to the Lord today and ask for His blessing?
2. Do you acknowledge that your child is God’s creation and that God has entrusted this child to you to be raised according to the principles found in the Bible
3. Do you commit to raising your child according to the teachings found in the Bible?
4. Do you desire to partner with Harrisburg Christian church to pray for and teach the younger generation to be disciples of Jesus Christ?
