			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<section class="sp-section sp-scheme-0" data-index="1" data-scheme="0"><div class="sp-section-slide"  data-label="Main" ><div class="sp-section-content" ><div class="sp-grid sp-col sp-col-24"><div class="sp-block sp-text-block " data-type="text" data-id="0" style=""><div class="sp-block-content"  style="">Harrisburg Christian Church &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; July 12, 2026 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br>(Congregational Meeting)<br>Sharon prayed to open.<br><br>Treasurer’s Report (Katie reviewed HCC Financials)<br><br>Questions were asked about the reason for the tithe peak in October and the use of contingency money in the category of staff salaries. &nbsp;Katie explained that Karen’s presentation to the seniors about the tax benefit of utilizing qualified contributions was likely the reason for the peak in October and that an unexpected increase in staff healthcare premium cost was the reason for the use of contingency to add to the category of staff salaries.<br><br><br>New Business<br><br><br>Committee Chair Appointments<br><br>-Grace Franklin is the committee chair for the new committee: Women’s Ministry<br><br>-Mali Clayton is taking over the role of committee chair for Christian Ed (Cindy Roller has been interim chair this summer)<br><br><br>Pastor and Committee Reports<br><br><br>Pastor (John) &nbsp;<br><br>-Introduced students that are participating in the summer internship program at HCC and commented that the program is going very well.<br><br>-Shared a handout to review church structure, introduced church leadership team members, reviewed the HCC Purpose Statement and a quiz (with provided answers) with more information about organizational structure and church purpose.<br><br><br>Youth (Open Position, but Corey commented)/Worship/MTS (Corey)<br><br>-Reviewed the recent youth trip to Colorado, which included 17 youth and 6 adults<br><br>-Highlighted new faces on the worship team, including Alden Washburn and more to come soon<br><br>-Expressed appreciation for Kevin Fearn in his role of MTS and his team of helpers.<br><br><br><br><br><br>Building &amp; Grounds (Cade)<br><br>-Steeple project update - we have selected someone to reframe and restore the steeple- work happening on July 27th<br><br>-Water issues have mostly been resolved - still working on a few small issues<br><br>-Encouraged congregation to let him know if they see an issue that needs attention<br><br><br>Communications (Kim Mobley)<br><br>-Shared that the handout that is colored is “church information” and that does not change as long as the handout color remains that same. &nbsp;When information is updated, the color will be changed<br><br>-Announcements handout (white sheet) changes weekly. &nbsp;If anyone has any announcements to add, email Kim by noon on Tuesday of the week they would like to add the announcement to the handout<br><br>-Working on adding more to social media. &nbsp;Email Kim info/ pictures to add if you want to.<br><br>If anyone does NOT want their picture posted to social media, let her know.<br><br><br>Fellowship (Judy Owens)<br><br>-We had another bereavement dinner in May<br><br>-4 new church members and three baptisms<br><br><br>Library (Connie)<br><br>-Work in the library this summer has consisted of adding great new resources and weeding unused resources<br><br><br>&nbsp;-Christian Ed/Missions/Women’s Fellowship (Cindy)<br><br>-Reshared that Mali Clayton will be assuming the chair of Christian Ed in August<br><br>-Summer staff have been teaching Sunday School classes this summer<br><br><br>-Completed financial support of the Crabtrees<br><br>-Began supporting Magnolia Ministries (ministry in Columbia that empowers the community through education surrounding human trafficking and exploitation while walking alongside survivors.<br><br>-HCC ladies took lunch to Primrose Hill in May- plan to make this a quarterly event<br><br>-My Life Clinic has purchased their own building in downtown Columbia<br><br>-Women’s Fellowship has met 6 times this year so far. &nbsp;They have completed several service projects and had great fellowship. &nbsp;They are planning to make freezer meals in August and host an event. &nbsp;<br><br><br>Senior Adults (Sharon)<br><br>-Monthly meetings/ carry in dinners - great time of fellowship<br><br>-Karen Kinkaed presented on Qualified Charitable Donations<br><br><br>John prayed to close.<br><br><br><br><br><br></div></div></div></div></div></section>]]></content:encoded>

Sterling was thanked for his service to the board.</li><li dir="ltr">Scholarships were approved for seven graduating seniors.</li></ul><br>Pastor/Committee Reports<br><br>John Gillman (Pastor) - Acknowledged all those who were involved with Easter service. &nbsp;Thankful for the small group leaders. Youth ministry application/interview process continues. &nbsp;Summer staff will include local students only. The parsonage is ready for the next youth minister. John is scheduled for fall sabbatical. Volunteer opportunities are available and listed in the weekly pamphlet.<br><br>Corey Whitaker (Worship/Youth Team/MTS) - Youth choir was new this year (thanks to Rebekah). &nbsp;Thankful for Kevin Fearn’s leadership of MTS. &nbsp;Student youth group participation has been positive. &nbsp;A youth camp trip is scheduled for the end of June.<br><br>Kim Mustin (Christian Ed) - not in attendance - John shared that Sunday school participation is high. Kim is stepping down from the chair and a replacement is needed.<br><br>Cade Smith (Building and Grounds) - The church downstairs area flooded with the last major rain. &nbsp;Drainage improvements made and drywall repair is pending future damage. &nbsp;Requested assistance with pipe location and volunteers for future. Mary Gilbert suggested beautification planting in front of church and offered assistance.<br><br>Kim Mobley (Communications) - New chair (replacing Kim Lanes). Church directory project did not receive enough responses to move forward. &nbsp;John asked what the heart of the reason was for a directory. Congregation responded that putting faces to names would assist with knowing fellow believers. &nbsp;Additional directory options may be reviewed. Need someone to take on Photo Booth for special events. &nbsp;Goal to increase social media presence.<br><br>Judy Owens (Fellowship) - Three bereavement dinners provided to families. &nbsp;Encouraged assistance/participation from younger adults. Continue to bring food items for fellowship time between Sunday services.<br><br>Connie Coy (Library) - Pursuing new resources and review/removal of current materials.<br><br>Cindy Roller (Missions) - Welcomed Stacey Arens as new Ambassador with Cafe 1040. &nbsp;There are two ambassador positions available. Evident Ministries is looking for volunteers for a mission trip to Acuna in July. &nbsp;Primrose Hill presents the end of the month. &nbsp;Ed Franks, CRU, is team chaplain for the football team and asks for prayers in considering team travel. Herringtons arrive in Missouri soon; prayers for their safe travel. Operation Christmas Child - collection box located at church entrance for donations for packing party in November. &nbsp;Cody Cox shared that Coyote Hill had successfully assisted foster children returning to biological families. Also, new families moving into Coyote Hill housing. <br><br>Sharon Abernathy (Senior Adults) - We had a presentation regarding AI (Artificial Intelligence) and played bingo with John as the emcee. We enjoyed fellowship and good food.<br><br>Barb Comegys (History) - not in attendance<br><br>In closing, Christy shared appreciation for John’s creativity with the Easter service by providing something new each year.<br><br>John closed the meeting with prayer.</div></div></div></div></div></section>]]></content:encoded>

Items can be for boys or girls any age 2-14. Donations collected by HCC will be used at a church wide packing party for multiple boxes to be prepared for distribution. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<section class="sp-section sp-scheme-0" data-index="1" data-scheme="0"><div class="sp-section-slide"  data-label="Main" ><div class="sp-section-content" ><div class="sp-grid sp-col sp-col-24"><div class="sp-block sp-text-block " data-type="text" data-id="0" style=""><div class="sp-block-content"  style="">Harrisburg Christian Church &nbsp; January 11, 2025 &nbsp;<br>This meeting was a congregational meeting. &nbsp;Christy prayed to open.<br><br>Reviewed the treasurer’s report and the budget.<br><br>Katie reviewed the treasurer’s report and the tithe trends. &nbsp;We completed 2025 at 98.37% use of the allotted budget. &nbsp;Dennis Haynes asked about the youth budget for 2026. &nbsp;We budgeted less for the 2026 youth budget ($24,000).<br>Katie explained the capital expenditures from 2025. &nbsp;The parsonage ($15,170.89) and the elevator ($41,423.54).<br>Katie discussed estimating tithing for this year and that we will be reviewing that as we go through the year.<br>There was a short discussion about how we should start using our funds and appreciation for how we have been using them.<br><br>Christy reviewed attendance tracking with the congregation.<br><br><br>New Business<br><ul><li dir="ltr">There will be at least one board member position open in May, if anyone is interested in serving on the board.</li><li dir="ltr">Dennis Haynes has taken over the property management of the parsonage for the time being- replacing Mary Austin. &nbsp;Dennis reported that they are still working on the ductwork and asbestos tape removal/ revisiting the issue.</li><li dir="ltr">Kim Mobley has ordered more books for the upcoming campaign (How’s Your Soul?)</li><li dir="ltr">There is a committee working on a new church directory. &nbsp;We are not bringing in a photographer this time. &nbsp;There will be a form available on the app (paper version available upon request) for submitting information. &nbsp;There will be a separate email address to upload your family photo (or let Kim know if you need to have one taken). &nbsp;A printing company will be printing the pages and the committee will be assembling binders. &nbsp;The goal will be to update the directory annually with new members.</li></ul><br>Committee Updates<br><ul><li dir="ltr">John (Pastor) - John reported on ways that the budget was utilized for ministry in 2025 (pastor conference, leadership training, local needs, pastor resources, special events, summer staff and staff salaries were highlighted. &nbsp;John expressed appreciation for giving.</li><li dir="ltr">Worship/Youth Team/Assistant Minister/MTS - Corey expressed appreciation for Kevin and the “booth people”. &nbsp;He highlighted the Community Service at the Champagne Barn and the first community choir. &nbsp;Upcoming youth events: Colorado summer trip @ end of June (information upcoming) and youth small groups starting after Superbowl Sunday.</li><li dir="ltr">Kim Mustin (Christian Ed) - Sunday School highlights include new teachers and appreciation for continuing teachers. &nbsp;Appreciation for summer staff and their help with Sunday School. &nbsp;Looking forward to teacher appreciation lunch in February. &nbsp;Expressed appreciation for nursery workers (Hailynn Melloway and Addison Long) for 2025.</li><li dir="ltr">Cade Smith (Buildings/Grounds) - Asked if church members will be sure to notify him if they notice anything that needs to be repaired/ updated. &nbsp;Highlighted the replacement of the sump pump. &nbsp;Also, noted that the security system is in the process of being upgraded/ updated to a new, user-friendly interface. &nbsp;More to come.</li><li dir="ltr">Kim Lanes (Communication) - Reported that all is going well with the website, app, sign out front, bulletin and beacon.</li><li dir="ltr">Judy Owens (Fellowship/Membership) - Judy highlighted the events that the fellowship committee helped to accommodate in 2025 (fellowship time on Sundays- including biscuits and gravy on 1st Sundays of the month, 6 bereavement meals, Easter breakfast, Christmas at the barn, Senior class baccalaureate program, special treats for Mother’s and Father’s days and finger foods for the children’s Christmas program. &nbsp;Plans for 2026, including cleaning and stocking the pantry, continuing to facilitate bereavement dinners and other events. &nbsp;Judy expressed appreciation for all of the help that the fellowship team has. &nbsp;She also reported 26 baptisms and 8 new members in 2025.</li><li dir="ltr">Connie Coy (Library) - Connie reported that she will be cleaning out the library in 2026 and taking out materials that do not get checked out. &nbsp;Any help is welcome!</li><li dir="ltr">Cindy Roller (Missions) - Cindy shared that we support 10 missions currently. &nbsp;Each one is assigned a point of contact. &nbsp;There are currently 2 open positions on the ministry team. &nbsp;Cindy shared updates from the various missions and Operation Christmas Child (we sent 405 boxes (our goal was 400)- our boxes were delivered to Colombia and Ecuador)</li><li dir="ltr">Sharon Abernathy (Sr Adult) - Sharon highlighted that the senior adults had several events in 2025 and enjoyed very good times of fellowship at each one. &nbsp;This year they enjoyed a catered “Thanksmas” between Thanksgiving and Christmas. &nbsp;More to come!</li><li dir="ltr">Barb Comegys (History) - Barb reported that the 2025 history is in the books. &nbsp;If anyone has any pictures from 2025 that they would like to print and share, that would be welcome. &nbsp;Especially from the Christmas at the Barn and the children’s program, as we have no pictures from those events currently.</li></ul><br>John prayed to close. &nbsp;Meeting adjourned.</div></div></div></div></div></section>]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<section class="sp-section sp-scheme-0" data-index="1" data-scheme="0"><div class="sp-section-slide"  data-label="Main" ><div class="sp-section-content" ><div class="sp-grid sp-col sp-col-24"><div class="sp-block sp-text-block " data-type="text" data-id="0" style=""><div class="sp-block-content"  style="">Harrisburg Christian Church October 12, 2025<br>This meeting was a congregational meeting. &nbsp;Christy prayed to open.<br><br>Reviewed the treasurer’s report and the budget. &nbsp;<br><br>Katie explained the church tithe and also pointed out that the 2025 tithe is the highest of the past four years. &nbsp;<br>Also, it was mentioned that the Buddy Bags program has grown and that we now provide food for 26 families/ 75 kids. &nbsp;The individual cost is down to $30/child- overall costs are up due to serving more families.<br><br>Old Business<br><ul><li dir="ltr">Elevator Project Update - The elevator is 98% complete. &nbsp;Sam Coy has put in a lot of work on this project and just needs to complete some cosmetic things and then it will be finished. &nbsp;</li><li dir="ltr">Parsonage - Excavation work has been done. &nbsp;Additional upcoming projects include installation of a new sump pump and addressing drainage issues around the lower garage door.</li></ul><br>Committee Updates<br><ul><li dir="ltr">John (Pastor) - John expressed appreciation for what has been going on at HCC. &nbsp;Update on the youth position. &nbsp;It has been posted, but so far, we do not have any applicants. &nbsp;In the meantime, good things are continuing for youth- small groups, Dana Battison has been leading Children’s Church, Gabe Gilpin has volunteered to lead the Children’s Christmas Program.</li><li dir="ltr">Worship/Youth Team/Assistant Minister/MTS - Corey expressed appreciation for worship/ youth team/ Kevin (MTS) and highlighted the youth small groups that are happening led by CCH student volunteers and hosted by HCC families (averaging 30-40 each week in attendance).</li><li dir="ltr">Kim Mustin (Christian Ed) - Not in attendance</li><li dir="ltr">Cade Smith (Buildings/Grounds) - New committee chair- asked that people let him know if they see anything that needs to be done.</li><li dir="ltr">Kim Lanes (Communication) - Not in attendance</li><li dir="ltr">Judy Owens (Fellowship/Membership) - Judy reported that we have had 4 new members since July</li><li dir="ltr">Connie Coy (Library) - Sam reported that Connie has done several giveaways (Walnut and Twine Gift cards and Sight and Sounds Tickets) to promote the library. &nbsp;She is also planning to purge the resources and would appreciate any help.</li><li dir="ltr">Cindy Roller (Missions) - Katie reported that we are considering a new mission (Magnolia Ministries). &nbsp;Also, that there is a new Operation Christmas Child sub-committee- on October 26th we will have a full circle speaker for Operation Christmas Child and this year we are hosting our first ever HCC Packing Party!</li><li dir="ltr">Sharon Abernathy (Sr Adult) - Monthly carry-ins continue. &nbsp;Senior adults plan to serve the meal at Trunk or Treat and will cater a Thanksgiving meal again this year.</li><li dir="ltr">Barb Comegys (History) - Not in attendance</li></ul><br>New Business<br><br><ul><li dir="ltr">The 2026 Budget was presented to the congregation for approval:</li></ul>&nbsp;Ray Cochran made a motion to approve the budget. &nbsp;Laura Lee Rose seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously with the congregation.<br><br>October is Pastor/Staff Appreciation Month. &nbsp;Appreciation gifts were distributed to the following staff: &nbsp;John Gillman, Corey Whitaker, Sam Coy, Karen Kinkaed, Kim Mobley, Kevin Fearn and Stacey Lewis<br><br>John prayed to close. &nbsp;Meeting adjourned.&nbsp;<br><br>*After the meeting, the board met briefly to discuss several additional projects that need to be completed at the parsonage. &nbsp;One is an electrical project that needs to be completed before the installation of the new sump pump in the basement. &nbsp;The second is the need to seed the grass where the excavation work was completed. &nbsp;Funding for both projects was approved. &nbsp;Sterling suggested asking Devon Geisler (Civics and Leadership teacher at HHS) to recruit his class to help with the grass seeding project. &nbsp;Rebekah shared Mr. Geisler’s phone number with Cody. &nbsp;We adjourned.</div></div></div></div></div></section>]]></content:encoded>
