Congregational Meeting
Christy opened the meeting in prayer.
Katie presented the treasurer’s report. New budget information included a column for Contingency expense, Women’s Fellowship expense and trends in tithes.
Old Business
Christy shared attendance numbers for first and second service comparison.
New Business
Pastor/Committee Reports
John Gillman (Pastor) - Acknowledged all those who were involved with Easter service. Thankful for the small group leaders. Youth ministry application/interview process continues. Summer staff will include local students only. The parsonage is ready for the next youth minister. John is scheduled for fall sabbatical. Volunteer opportunities are available and listed in the weekly pamphlet.
Corey Whitaker (Worship/Youth Team/MTS) - Youth choir was new this year (thanks to Rebekah). Thankful for Kevin Fearn’s leadership of MTS. Student youth group participation has been positive. A youth camp trip is scheduled for the end of June.
Kim Mustin (Christian Ed) - not in attendance - John shared that Sunday school participation is high. Kim is stepping down from the chair and a replacement is needed.
Cade Smith (Building and Grounds) - The church downstairs area flooded with the last major rain. Drainage improvements made and drywall repair is pending future damage. Requested assistance with pipe location and volunteers for future. Mary Gilbert suggested beautification planting in front of church and offered assistance.
Kim Mobley (Communications) - New chair (replacing Kim Lanes). Church directory project did not receive enough responses to move forward. John asked what the heart of the reason was for a directory. Congregation responded that putting faces to names would assist with knowing fellow believers. Additional directory options may be reviewed. Need someone to take on Photo Booth for special events. Goal to increase social media presence.
Judy Owens (Fellowship) - Three bereavement dinners provided to families. Encouraged assistance/participation from younger adults. Continue to bring food items for fellowship time between Sunday services.
Connie Coy (Library) - Pursuing new resources and review/removal of current materials.
Cindy Roller (Missions) - Welcomed Stacey Arens as new Ambassador with Cafe 1040. There are two ambassador positions available. Evident Ministries is looking for volunteers for a mission trip to Acuna in July. Primrose Hill presents the end of the month. Ed Franks, CRU, is team chaplain for the football team and asks for prayers in considering team travel. Herringtons arrive in Missouri soon; prayers for their safe travel. Operation Christmas Child - collection box located at church entrance for donations for packing party in November. Cody Cox shared that Coyote Hill had successfully assisted foster children returning to biological families. Also, new families moving into Coyote Hill housing.
Sharon Abernathy (Senior Adults) - We had a presentation regarding AI (Artificial Intelligence) and played bingo with John as the emcee. We enjoyed fellowship and good food.

In closing, Christy shared appreciation for John’s creativity with the Easter service by providing something new each year.

New Business
- Vote for new board member - One opening exists and requires approval by a congregational vote. Jeremiah Babcock was approved by the congregation to replace Sterling Sublett. Sterling was thanked for his service to the board.
- Scholarships were approved for seven graduating seniors.
