Operation Christmas Child
Hello HCC-
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) has moved to a monthly focus as you may have seen in the Beacon. All donations will be accepted in the front entry way. You can donate any fun items you have found or the monthly suggested item. April's focus is on winter gear such as hats, gloves and scarves or other apparel items. Items can be for boys or girls any age 2-14. Donations collected by HCC will be used at a church wide packing party for multiple boxes to be prepared for distribution. A list of items that will not be accepted by Operation Christmas Child is as follows:
DO NOT INCLUDE
• Soap
• Food, candy, or gum
• Toothpaste
• Used or damaged items
• Scary or war-related items
• Wearable traditional camouflage
• Seeds or organic matter
• Liquids
• Medication
• Money
• Breakable items
• Matches, fire starters, or aerosols
• Knives, saws, or razor blades
Please see the attached PDF for donation suggestions. Most anything else that will fit inside a shoebox will be accepted because God knows how to get it where it is needed.
